Meet Urs (yes, that is his complete first name) Eichenberger the founder and owner of Strands Hair & Skin Treatment Centre Inc., the pivotal dreamer around whom the Strands philosophy evolved. Stylish, healthy, beautiful hair to suit he’s clients needs, wants and lifestyle. Urs began his career in Europe . After successfully finishing his 3-year apprenticeship, he honed his skills by working in ritzy European spas and ski resorts in Switzerland . He got interested in the workings of advanced hair coloring by working with two major international color manufacturers. To this day young stylists and students who work at Strands are awed by his intuitive and comprehensive grasp of hair color. Urs regularly attends international hair shows and seminars all over the world to keep up with new techniques, tools and products. Computer imaging, ammonia free hair color, bio ionic tools and products, light treatment concepts for the skin and the latest; thermo scissors, are just some of the things that he brought to Strands. Attending advanced seminars on aromatherapy over the last 12 years and a personal invitation to a pharmaceutical and cosmetic laboratory in Toulouse France keep him interested and educated on natural and scientific developments in the hair and skin treatment field. Born in Switzerland , Urs moved to Canada for a year, liked the lifestyle here and opened his salon in 1984. Never one to stand still, he challenges himself and everybody around him to explore, innovate and excel.		Urs

Erika likes to think of herself as the best-trained hair salon assistant. Almost able to read everybody’s mind she tries to keep traffic and Urs in check on the busiest of days. A former jet-setting executive, Erika has in-depth knowledge of color and style she developed over years of working with fabric and fashion. Her knowledge gave her the start to educate herself in make-up products and their application		Erika
European trained esthetician Lina is best known for her impeccable pedicures. She also provides a wide a array of quality esthetic services, from manicures and waxing to facials, light treatments, eyebrow and eye lash tints, and other treatments of all kinds. Married with one son, Lina juggles work and home and succeeds in both. To get to know the Strands clientele, she also assists Urs when her time permits.		Lina
Laura has a very unique vision. While being able to hear what you may want, and translate that into a fresh new modern look that works. Always striving to be creative in everyday life, the art of cutting hair has opened up a new medium of expressionism. Creating a fresh new look that will suit any face shape. While keeping a calm, and welcoming atmosphere for an opportunity to build a great clientele and have some fun while were at it! Communication is key! It has come to my attention that there are some of you who still don’t know who I am! I find this extremely difficult to believe. However, for those of out there who are unfamiliar with my famous life’s work (the pursuit of excellence in the field of super natural beauty) let me introduce myself. My life’s work began at the tender age of two when I got lost at the make up counter of a large department store. The clerks there were so delighted by my demands for high end cosmetics that they named a lipstick after me, Rosamond’s Big Juicy Red Sticky Joy Stick, I believe it was called. Something like that. Hugely successful! After that formative episode, it was the simplest thing in the world for me to organize weekly spa days at my school. These days enriched Grades One through Eight tremendously and were gratefully attended by all of my female instructors. I did a complete make over on our high school cheer leading squad, which resulted in them going on to become internationally renowned. It seemed magic and a sprinkle of fairy dust followed me wherever I went. But, you know, my dear ones, Rosamond always feels she has more to give. After those glorious good old golden rule days came to an end, I decided to venture a little further a field. I studied beauty techniques from around the globe, from the facial mud of Egypt to the pedicure secrets of the Hollywood stars. I devoted myself to the research and serious study of all that is beautiful. I also managed to foster my fantastically successful singing and television careers during this time. Darlings, I was busy! Finally I rested my weary tootsies here at the Strands in order to share all of this magnificence with you. I stand before you, the product of 20 years of intensive image enhancement. Every hair on my head, and every centimetre of my body has been subjected to the most rigorous course of beautification. Starting at a tender age with the most intense focus on ultimate glamour, I have triumphed! It hasn’t been easy and it hasn’t been without pain, but darlings, I plan to share it all with you! Perhaps, but only if you are very good, you may even be allowed to visit the wildly successful House of Strands. This is the salon where I have just begun to practice my special brand of enhancement magic and creating the world famous Total Look, for gals like us.
